Northeast Partnership

The Northeast Partnership for Economic Development (NEP) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation that was formed in the mid-1990's to promote economic growth and quality of life in the Northeast San Antonio area. The Northeast Partnership works to protect and advocate the interests of its Partnership Members.

What was once a rural Texas landscape dotted with small towns has now evolved into one large Northeast San Antonio community called the Metrocom. The Metrocom consists of our member cities Cibolo, Converse, Garden Ridge, Kirby, Live Oak, Marion, New Berlin, Santa Clara, Selma, Schertz, Universal City and Windcrest. Business development has boomed in recent years thanks to the prime location along the I-35 Corridor between San Antonio and Austin. Premiere land, low tax-rates, affordable housing, plentiful water and a large workforce make this area stand out among Texas regions.

Our member cities offer exceptional quality of life through diverse amenities and benefits including excellent schools, parks and recreational facilities, restaurants, medical services, entertainment venues and a multitude of businesses that offer unlimited options to residents of every age and lifestyle.

It is the objective of the Northeast Partnership to protect and enhance the area's resources and distinct identity, while capitalizing on the region’s strategic location in Northeast San Antonio. Dedicated to serving our members through the means of economic development, additional goals include diversifying commercial activities, promoting existing businesses, and identifying private and public sources of capital investment.

Live Here...

Over 155,000 residents have chosen to live in the Metrocom area because of the diverse amenities and benefits available, including affordable housing, excellent schools and an abundance of parks and recreational facilities. Our cities are rich in shopping areas, restaurants, medical services, worship centers and businesses of all kinds, which offer unlimited options to residents of every age and lifestyle.
