Since 2019, more than 1,106 single-family residential homes have come online in the City of Schertz and more than 3,000 homes are in the planning stages. The Schertz system of parks and recreational facilities provide opportunities for a range of activities for both residents and visitors. Currently the City has 24 municipal-owned park locations and recreational facilities which, combined, make up a total of approximately 469 acres. From local food purveyors to entertainment retail anchors and with over 142,000 population in the primary retail trade area, the range of options in Schertz continues to expand.
